Background

Sia founded Dream House Builders in 2022 after ten years with Condon-Johnson & Associates in Oakland, California, where he was project executive on some of the Bay Area’s larger builds: the foundations and shoring for Atlas, Oakland’s tallest residential tower at 13th and Franklin; the Chase Center arena in San Francisco; the Central Subway; Apple’s Campus II visitor center in Cupertino; and the 950 Market and 350 Bush high-rises downtown. Those are tight sites with firm deadlines and a long list of trades to coordinate, and that experience is what he brought to home building.

He runs DHB the way he ran those projects. The plan and the budget are set before the first truck arrives. Materials are bought out before framing so the schedule holds. Subcontractors get a clear scope and get paid on time. Problems are handled the week they appear, not at closing. The result is a home that is finished when promised and holds up after the buyer moves in.

Sia holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and an M.Sc. in Construction Management from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he also did research on underground infrastructure. Before California he spent seven years as a project engineer and manager on power-plant, subway and port work overseas. He is a licensed real estate agent in Texas and California, and lives in the Fort Worth area.
