We mostly build on our own lots. A few times a year, we build for you.
DHB is a spec builder: we buy the lot, build the home and sell it finished. We take on a small number of client builds when the situation fits. Here is what that looks like.
You own a lot in Hood County
Cleared or not, on well and septic or on utilities. We start with a soils report and an engineered foundation, the same as our own homes, and build one of our plans or a modification of it.
You want a home that's under construction
Reserve a coming-soon home before drywall and it is finished to your selections from our packages. Your spec sheet goes online the day the contract is signed.
You're an investor
Build-to-hold or build-to-sell on a lot you own or one we source, run by a builder who does this fifty times a year and manages the construction loan draws.
How a client build runs
Site and plan review
We walk the lot, pull the plat and utility situation, and show you the plans that fit. We don't publish plans online; you'll see them in person.
Fixed price and spec sheet
One price, with the spec sheet attached. Materials are bought out before framing, so the number holds.
Build
Typical DHB build runs on a known schedule with third-party inspections at pre-pour, pre-insulation and final.
Close and warranty
Walkthrough, close, and the same warranty-request process every DHB buyer uses.
